Chicago Teachers Go On Strike And Say An Agreement To A Deal Is Far From Being Reached

ImageThis is another one of the upheavals and misfortunes that the Education field is having. With the salary that teachers are today proportioned and the responsibilities that the teachers have of being the second parent away from home, it comes to no surprise that this happened. In NYC, if it wasn’t for the arbitrators coming together. . . there would’ve been 24 schools closed at the first half of the year. Schools are the first place children go for the sole purpose to grow, learn, develop, socialize and manage their interpersonal/intrapersonal skills.

Here are some quotes from Sir Ken Robinson (English author, speaker, and international advisor on education in the arts to government, non-profits, education, and arts bodies.) “I believe this passionately: that we don’t grow into creativity, we grow out of it. Or rather, we get educated out of it.” Schools today have the most responsibility. When strikes like these occur it is because the teachers need more in order to do their job more effectively.

“Literacy is as important as creativity.” -Sir Ken RobinsonImage
